Richard Speer’s travels to Japan on behalf of the Sam Francis Foundation

Richard Speer, author and curator from Portland, Oregon traveled to Japan on behalf of the Sam Francis Foundation. He met with several institutions and colleagues of Sam Francis while researching his forthcoming monograph “All Was Whiteness Floating: Sam Francis in Japan” and co-curating an art exhibition, in partnership with the Sam Francis Foundation, at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art.
